Overview #
VarsityScape operates on a transparent, Pay-As-You-Go model. Instead of locking you into expensive monthly subscriptions, we charge based on your actual activity. All billing and fees are denominated in USDC for stability.
1. Live Class Pricing (Pay-As-You-Go) #
Every academy starts with 10 Free Live Classes per month. Once you exceed this limit, you are billed automatically based on usage.
If you go over your 10 free classes, the cost for each additional session is calculated as:
$0.50 (Base Fee) + $0.01 per minute + $0.05 per student
Example:
A 60-minute class with 20 students would cost:
- Base: $0.50
- Time: $0.60 ($0.01 x 60 mins)
- Students: $1.00 ($0.05 x 20 students)
- Total: $2.10 USDC for that session.
Billing happens automatically at set thresholds or at the end of the month.
2. Transaction Fees (1%) #
When you sell a course or a student pays for a cohort, VarsityScape applies a small platform fee to cover processing.
- Rate: 1% per transaction (or a $1.00 USDC minimum).
- Applies to: Academy memberships, Course enrollments, and User-to-User transfers.
3. Withdrawal Fees (10%) #
When you move your earnings out of the VarsityScape ecosystem into your local bank account (Fiat) or an external crypto wallet:
- Rate: 10% of the withdrawal amount.
- Minimum Withdrawal: You must withdraw at least $5.00 USDC (after fees).
4. Your Academy Wallet #
Your dashboard comes with a built-in USDC wallet.
- Earnings: All course sales land here instantly.
- Payments: Usage fees (like extra live classes) are deducted from this balance automatically.
- Top-Up: If your balance is low, you can top up your wallet to cover live class expenses.
Troubleshooting & FAQ #
- Do I need a credit card to start?
No. You can launch your academy and use your 10 free classes without adding any card. - What happens if I run out of funds for Live Classes?
We recommend keeping a small buffer in your wallet. If a charge fails, you may be restricted from scheduling new sessions until the balance is settled.
