1 min read

Overview #

When a student logs into an academy, they see a simplified, focused interface designed for learning.

1. My Learning (The Home Screen) #

The default view for every student.

  • Active Courses/Cohorts: Displays the courses they are currently enrolled in.
  • Progress Bars: Shows how much of the curriculum completed.
  • Streak: Updates in real time, to track when the user is active and what days they been active on the academy.
  • Live Schedule: A widget showing the next upcoming live class so students never miss a session.

2. The Course Dashboard #

When a student clicks on a specific course, they enter the learning environment:

  • Content: The curriculum player where they watch videos and read lessons.
  • Live Classes: Where they find the “Join” button for live sessions.
  • Community: The chat channels specific to their cohort.
  • Grades/Certificates: Where they view feedback on assignments and download their certificate upon completion.

3. The Notification Center #

Located at the bell icon in the top right. This alerts students to:

  • New assignment grades.
  • Upcoming live classes.
  • Replies to their community posts.

Troubleshooting & FAQ #

  • My student says their dashboard is empty.
This usually means they are not enrolled in a course yet. Check the Members tab in your Owner view to ensure they have been added to a specific Cohort.
  • Can students see the “Settings” gear?
No. Students do not have access to academy settings, billing, or the course builder.
